RC Catamarans - Information on RC Sailboat Catamarans
RC Catamarans are a little more work to build, but a whole lot of fun once you get them in the water. They are typically faster than monohulls because they dont have a big lead keel to drag through the water. There are obstacles to overcome in the design of a RC catamaran including keeping your boat from pitch poling, which is sending the bow of the boat into the water at high speeds. RC Catamrans are also susceptible to going turtle, which is flipping all the way upside down which can damage your radio equipment and mast.
